What happened to the guestbook at the streethawk site? I used to really enjoy reading the comments there. :)
Anyway, this is about Street Hawk. As you already know, the show was a HUGE hit here in India, their principle sponspors (MRF tyres, ran a very successful "The man, the Machine" ad campaign based on the show. All this must be in the 1989-1990 time range. But there were many kids (including me) who already were HUGE fans of Street Hawk before the show was telecast!
This was because the city libraries had acquired shiny copies of the novelizations(all of which are alas gone) and reading them actually/probably gave us a bigger thrill than watching the same incidents on TV. It was that well written!
So streethawk fandom is not just for the tv show but for the novelizations as well.
